Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how Pagesmith ("Pagesmith," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit pagesmith.co, contact us, or engage our design services. By using our site or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit our project intake form, book a call, or email us, we collect the details you share — typically your name, email address, business name, current website, the scope of work you're interested in, and any project details you describe. If you become a client, we may also collect information needed to deliver the work and process payment.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. Our site uses your browser's local storage for essential functionality — for example, to remember that you've already seen our intro animation this session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule calls;
- To prepare proposals and deliver design and development services;
- To process payments and manage our client relationship;
- To operate, secure, and improve our website;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:
- Netlify — website hosting and form submission storage;
- Resend — delivery of notification emails to our team;
- Calendly — scheduling calls;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Professional advisors, or authorities where required by law.
Each provider processes your information under its own privacy terms and only for the purposes above.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your card and billing details are collected and handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy policy. Pagesmith does not store your full payment card details.
5. Cookies & local storage
We use only essential browser storage required for the site to function. We do not deploy third-party advertising trackers. You can clear local storage at any time in your browser settings.
6. Data retention
We keep inquiry and client information for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver services, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- EEA/UK visitors: you have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- California residents: you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined.
To exercise any right, email us at hi@pagesmith.co and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
8. International visitors
We operate from the United States. If you access our site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
9. Children's privacy
Our site and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
